About Us

Alycia

In 2016, my parents and I were caring for four foster children under the age of three. The youngest had just come home from the hospital on oxygen, while the others faced intense emotional and behavioral challenges. Sleep was scarce, support was lacking, and every day felt like survival mode. At the same time, I worked at an alternative school with a preteen who struggled with aggression and self-harm, pushing me to the edge of exhaustion.

Feeling overwhelmed and isolated, I turned to a free parenting class and devoured every resource I could on trauma, healing, and parenting challenging children. Slowly, things began to shift. I found a supportive church community and began making meaningful changes that brought hope back into our lives.

This journey led me to seek out further education. I started leading parenting classes and providing training for organizations, offering the kind of practical, compassionate support I had once needed so desperately.

Today, I’m a neurodivergent, homeschooling parent and guardian of three of those children, as well as the adoptive sister of the fourth. I understand how hard parenting can be—but I also know there’s joy, confidence, and hope on the other side of the struggle.

I also help parents, caregivers, and organizations navigate the challenges of trauma and neurodivergence with practical tools and compassionate guidance, creating spaces where every child—and adult—can truly belong.
